ONE WEEK OUT! This past week has been spent taking care of loose ends. Things around the house, paying bills in advance or arranging on-line payments, mail being picked up and sorted and medical/dental/eye appointments met or cancelled. The girls go to their veterinarian on Tuesday to get their checkups and make sure they are protected for the trip. Shelby will be on Demerol or another motion sickness medicine recommended by the vet. The poor thing loves the cars and boat but gets motion sickness pretty easy. I'm still waiting on my passport renewal which was expedited but. . . Yeah, nothing yet. I'll have it sent to me along the way, well before it is needed for our Trent-Severn waterway.
And my Chickens. I don't think I mentioned that I have 50 some chickens that our kids will take care of for me, along with the dozens of eggs laid daily. So I've been eagerly waiting for the weather to start warming up so I can clean and de-winterize my coops and runs before I go. It's looking like this week is going to make that possible. The kids will appreciate it being done prior to departure.
Today was the last Sunday in our home Church for a while. We experienced a very nice send off of prayers and well wishes for safe travel and amazing experiences. We do plan to visit churches along the way whenever possible. It will be fun to experience other congregations and worship alongside them.
This next week will also be filled with LOOSE ENDS to be tidied up. All of which will make this experience a whole-lot easier.
What a great way to spend your Spring Break!
