Yesterday was very enjoyable as we cruised the narrow channels of the ICW. We arrived Panama City 6 p.m., about 7 hours underway. covering 62 nautical miles.
Our overnight was in a beautiful cove and a nice marina. We had dinner onboard and turned in a bit early as we anticipated and earlier departure.
ALARMS AT 1:00 A.M. We were wakened by an alarm alerting us to a potentially serious water in the bilge issue. No worries, false alarm but, the alarm went of for what seemed like maybe 20 minute. A very loud, piercing and annoying sound indeed, especially at 1 in the morning. After Glen and Ant confirming that we DID NOT have any water issues and then searching through all the owners manuals for information with no success, wires were clipped to shut down the alarm that was making Shelby's ears twist and turn in all directions like a little sonar detector. The two followed wires and traced them to the problem and will complete the necessary repairs as able. We were all back in bed by 2:00 a.m. with no concerns.
Up at 7:00 a.m., on the water 8:15 a.m. We were once again escorted by a pod of dolphins playing and splashing in the waters around us. We enjoyed breakfast of bacon, eggs and hash browns onboard (the generator works) and now are settled back for a long journey to Carrabelle today.
Photo: Yesterday, Shelby was watching dogs play and splash on the beach. Maybe she was asking to go back and play.
Glad everything is ok!
