Well as I stated, everything is subject to change. No slips were available in Destin but we found one in Fort Walton Beach which was directly on the ICW. However, with 22 mile an hour winds we were not able to maneuver our way into the very narrow slip. So, I'm back on the phone trying to find a place for the night. Two Georges Marina in Fort Walton Beach came through. A huge shout out to Jeff and Melissa for their hospitality. Finding the slip in the marina was challenging to say the least. Oh sure, "go to B10. It's between the A and B dock" they said. The only dock that was marked was C. We couldn't tell which side of C dock A and B was. and then no numbers. We finally found our way and Glen skillfully and calmly backed Saunter's 16' beam into a 17' slip. I on the other hand was a nervous wreck. Lol! After we secure all the lines and took the girls for a walk it was time for a nice cold vanilla martini, or 2.
After tuna cakes for dinner we got a welcomed visit from Glen's cousin Stephanie and her husband Jim. It was good to visit with them for a short time. Then off to bed for a well deserved and much needed sleep
This morning began with the girls needs, followed by our own and filling Saunter up with 350 gallons of diesel. Glen and Antanas calibrated the GPS and autopilot before heading back to the ICW where we are now headed to Panama City's Emerald Harbor Marina.
Shortly after we started we were joined by 4 (maybe 5) dolphins swimming directly at our bow (see video).
Wow. I am surprised how close those dolphins are to the boat! Glad you two are doing well! Beautiful boat.
